Story Teller Presentation-New Date!

David Sage will make a second appearance at the Story Library Friday, Feb 13th,  from 1:30-2:30 to share another one of his incredible original stories! (We had a conflict with the original date so please note that it’s Friday, rather than Thursday.) Dave works with school children in several schools in the Denver area and the Story School! He has also published 2 books, which are part of a series, and are geared towards ages 10 through adults! He has that wonderful knack of keeping the listener (and reader) on the edge of his/her seat! Stop in for a fun experience! (We are hoping to make this a monthly event the Second Fridays of each month!)  :)

Winter Reading Program!

Short days and cold temperatures make for a perfect reading season! Join us for the winter reading program January 5 – February 28. To participate, pick up a Book Bingo sheet at the front desk. When you have completed a row of reading categories, turn in your sheet for a prize!

Antique Doll Collection on Display Through January

Mary Holtz has generously loaned the Story Library her collection of puppets and other dolls from days of long ago for the January exhibit. Included in the collection to be seen in the back room display case are Howdy Doody, Charlie McCarthy, Abraham Lincoln, Buckwheat, Miss Scarlett, Miss Piggy, and Dr. Seuss’s Cat in the Hat. Stop in and take a look. The details are amazing!

Songwriters’ Circle Now Meets on Mondays!

Calling all songwriters! Meetings of the new Songwriters’ Circle will be held in the conference room at the Story Library at 7:00 P.M. on the second Monday of each month! These get-togethers will be a chance for songwriters to share their original music: lyrics and/or melodies, not to be confused with popular jam sessions. Come inspire and be inspired! For more information, contact Ann Lowe at or 307-763-3988.

Writers of All Genres!

Do you ever think you would like to write for fun or profit? Poems, stories, essays, journals, novels, articles…whatever! The Storytellers writing group invites you to attend! For encouragement, inspiration, and honest critique of original writings, come to the Storytellers meetings held in the back room of the Story library  monthly on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at  7 P.M. Dates are subject to change, so please call the library at 683-2922 if you’re interested in attending. For questions about the meetings, call Sue Wilcox at 683-2466.
