Returning Library Materials:
Items may be returned to the circulation desk of the book-drop at any Sheridan County Public Library. Items returned in the book drop later than 2 hours before closing time will be credited as returned on the next business day. Items are not considered returned until they are discharged. Locations of book drops are as follows:

TRBL - In door on south side (highway side of building)
Story - In front of library
Clearmont - East side of building

Lost or Damaged Library Materials:

The patron will be charged the current retail price of the item plus a processing fee for a lost or damaged item. If item has been paid for and is returned within six months, the price of item - NOT the processing fee - shall be refunded. Lost and damaged items remain the property of the Sheridan County Public Library System. Patron purchased replacements must meet the standards of the library and will not be accepted without prior authorization. A processing fee will be charged.

Overdues:
Notices are sent on items that are overdue. Overdue fees are calculated by the Wyoming Library Database (WYLD) computer system, based on Sheridan County Public Library System fees. Fees are not charged for days the library is closed. Please contact the library if you believe an overdue notice has been sent in error.

Privileges will be suspended for cardholders with charges that exceed the maximum limit.

Hold (or Reserve) Fees:
No fee is charged for a "Hold" request. Holds may be requested in person, via telephone or online. Hold notification will be made by telephone, email or USPS. Prompt pick-up is essential; items are held for seven days. If you are picking up an item for someone else, you must have that person's library card with you.

Intrabranch Loans (IBLs)
No fees will be charged for items that are borrowed from within the Sheridan County Public Library System.

Interlibrary Loans (ILLs)
Items that are not available at any of the four Sheridan County Public Libraries may be acquired through ILL. A standard fee is charged for each item requested. You will be assessed any fees which may be charged by the lending library. You may complete an ILL request in person, or via telephone, mail, email, or online. Payment is due at the time of pick-up; the fee will be charged to patron's card if item is not picked up.

Replacement Library Cards
If your card is lost or stolen, report it to the library as soon as possible. You are responsible for items charged against your card. A fee is charged to replace a lost or damaged library card.

Missing Components
A fee is charged if an item is returned with a missing component(s) (i.e., container, cover, bar code, tape, etc.).

Sheridan County Library System reserves the right to revise, modify, or add circulation policies without prior notification.
