Exhibits and Displays at Clearmont Branch Library

                         "Moving Waters"

The Clearmont Branch Library has on display "Moving Waters" panels which present the story
of the Colorado River. The Colorado River is called the hardest working river since it supplies
water to 7 western states. There are 20 hydroelectric plants and 10 major dams along the
Colorado River.  The River also provides many recreational areas; the Grand Canyon being one
site and the jumping off point for an adventurous trip down the Colorado River.

There are three panels on display which give the history of the Colorado River from 1873 when
John Wesley Powell explored the river until the present time.  Wyoming's Green River is
the source of the Colorado River.    Stop by the Clearmont Library to read about the History of
              the Colorado River.
