Meeting Room Policies
  1. Library-sponsored activities are given priority in scheduling use of the rooms.
  2. The public meeting rooms are not available for private parties or religious gatherings, money-raising, partisan political, or commercial purposes. The meeting must be non-secretive and open to the public. For-profit organizations may use the rooms for staff training, interviewing, and staff activities and for public information, but not for sales or solicitation.
  3. No admissions fees or collections may be charged. A fee may be charged to cover the cost of educational materials provided.
  4. Use of the meeting rooms included using facilities and equipment. Prior arrangements must be made for use of library equipment. Each group shall be responsible for setting up and cleaning up after use.
  5. Organizations holding meetings must assume responsibility for any damage to room or contents.
  6. Rooms must be left in a neat and orderly condition.
  7. No smoking is permitted in any part of the library.
  8. Neither the name nor the address of the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library may be used as the official address or headquarters of an organization.
  9. Library Director is authorized to deny use of the library meeting rooms to any group that is disorderly or violates these requlations. Supervision must b provided for young children.
  10. Organizations must schedule individual meetings. The library will not guarantee availability of the meeting rooms on a regular basis.
  11. The meeting rooms may not be used during non-library hours.
  12. Any group wishing to use the meeting rooms will be asked to have a representatative read and sign the Meeting Room Policy and ascertain that their group meets the necessary criteria. The Meeting Room Policy is located at the Circulation Desk.
  13. The Sheridan County Library Board of Trustees reserves the right to waive any of the above regulations.
