Events at Story Branch Library
Pre-school Story Time
We offer pre-school story time every Wednesday from 1:30 - 2:15. We read stories and have some type of follow-up activity. All pre school children and their care-givers are invited! For more information about the children's news, please click on Kids on the bar above.
Children, ages 6-8 Story Time
The Story School children, in grades kindergarten through 3rd grade, come to the library the first Tuesday of each month at 12:30 for a story time and craft activity hour! Any home-schooled children in this age group are more than welcome to join us also! Spread the word! It's a great time for all!
Book Discussion
On April 7th, our Story Book Discussion Group got together to discuss the book The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd! Shirley did a great job leading this month's discussion. The 12 people that attended had some really interesting and insightful things to say about the book. Ceona even brought homemade biscuits with three different types of honey spread (because of the secret life of bees) for the group! (Yum! Yum!)Our May 5th discussion will be about local author Sam Morton's Where the Rivers Run North, which is historical fiction! We have a couple of copies at the library that can be checked out, or the books may be purchased at the Piney Creek Store or either of the bookstores in Sheridan. We hope to see you there!
